Located at the University of Iowa, the nationally recognized Holden Cancer Center celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025. As Iowa’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center, Holden is one of only 53 NCI comprehensive cancer centers in the country. The team at Holden wanted this report to not only celebrate all of the progress of 2025, but also to reflect on all of the advances and the people who have made Holden the leader it is.

This annual report was organized by decades, and 2005-2010 highlighted multidisciplinary oncology groups and the collaborative foundation of Holden's work.

From 2015-2020, the Holden Cancer Center focused on education and launched the Cancer Biology Program.

The main element of this report was a fold-out timeline at the front, that unfolded to chart the 25 years of the Center's history. The timeline ends at the first decade's narrative.
